Altus Hospice is looking for volunteers! The volunteers are needed to assist in the community and spread the awareness of hospice care. Take part in a very rewarding experience working with patients, and gather experience from a fellow UIW graduate student by shadowing! This opportunity is open to any major.
If you are interested, there are a few requirements to which you must comply. You must: be 18 years of age, and get a TB shot, take a drug screening, and complete a background check all covered by Altus.
Your turnaround time for approval is about 24-72 hours before you can begin the training.
Your training will be provided, through videos comprising about two hours that can be done from home! Once you have completed your training you will be able to begin hands on help.
Do not let transportation be an obstacle! Altus is willing to pick up and drop off volunteers if they are unable to provide their own transportation.
